Can My Spouse Deny Parenting Time if I’m Not Paying Child Support?

As the best child custody lawyers in Gilbert AZ let me tell you a common divorce myth that I hear: “Can my spouse deny parenting time to me if I’m not paying my child support?” And the answer to that question is: no. In Arizona, parenting time is not conditioned on whether or not you’re paying your child support. Now, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t pay your child support, you absolutely should, but a spouse cannot withhold the child from you if you’re not paying your child support.
